(1)This Act may be called the Cinematograph Act, 1952.
(2)Parts I, II and IV extends to the whole of India 2* * * and Part III extends to 3[the Union territories] only.
(3)This Act shall come into force on such date4 as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint:
