About KanoonHQ

Indian legal intelligence platform (Est. 2026) engineered for advocates, law chambers, and legal researchers across the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, and District Judiciary.

Our Purpose

Accelerating Justice Through Statutory Precision

Indian practice runs on hundreds of Central and State Acts, a constant flow of judgments, and transitional codes like the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS, 2023). KanoonHQ was founded in 2026 to eliminate routine operational friction for Indian practitioners—unifying high-speed semantic retrieval, automated eCourts case intelligence, and structured document drafting under a single verified workbench.

§

Statutory Authority & Fair Use

All legislative enactments, rules, notifications, and court decisions reproduced on KanoonHQ are sourced strictly from official government gazettes, court registries, and public repositories under Section 52(1)(q) of the Copyright Act, 1957, which guarantees the public right to reproduce judicial and legislative proceedings.

⚖

Sources & Corrections

Our statutory concordances (including IPC to BNS transitions), practice guides, and legal templates are maintained by the KanoonHQ team and corrected when errors are reported. Legal Gazette briefs are AI-generated from a linked source and are not reviewed by an advocate before publication. AI answers cite the provisions they rely on, and citations we cannot verify are marked for checking.

🛡

Professional Ethics & BCI Compliance

KanoonHQ is not a law firm and does not provide legal representation, legal advice, or attorney-client engagement. In strict adherence to Rule 36 of the Bar Council of India (BCI) Rules, KanoonHQ does not solicit clients or advertise legal services. It functions solely as software for qualified practitioners.

🔒

Data Privacy & DPDP Act, 2023

As a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, we scope every request to the signed-in account or chamber, run no training pipeline of our own on customer data, and route only to model-provider API tiers whose terms exclude training on submitted content.

How We Source and Correct Content

Statutes, rules and notifications come from official gazettes and government legislative portals; judgments and case status come from court websites and eCourts services. Our editorial policy explains how pages are written, reviewed and corrected. If you find an error in a section, a concordance entry or a guide, write to editorial@kanoonhq.in and we will fix it.

KanoonHQ's AI features are research aids, not legal advice. Every output should be checked by a qualified advocate before it is relied on in a pleading or in court. The case data you add stays in your account: you can export it or delete your account at any time from Settings, as described in our privacy policy.

Technological Architecture

KanoonHQ combines high-dimensional hybrid dense/sparse embeddings (BGE-M3 and Krutrim Vyakyarth), Reciprocal Rank Fusion (RRF), cross-encoder re-ranking, and high-performance arq asynchronous Redis task queues. Our model router coordinates Google Gemini 3.8 Flash, Sarvam Indic LLMs, and Claude Sonnet, ensuring strict prompt-injection isolation with verifiable statutory references.
